Tile & GroutWhen the tile is installed, it's typically sealed together in place using grout, or a cement-based sealant. Because the grout is made from cement, it contains tiny pores that are apparent when it dries completely. This makes it easier or dirt and debris to accumulate in these tiny pores and difficult to remove without proper cleaning tools and solutions. Over time, the dirt in your grout can cause it to appear muddy or old, when in fact, it could simply use a good cleaning.
Tile Cleaning Tile cleaning is the process of cleaning the surface of your tiles. This is typically done before moving onto cleaning the grout, as the tiles are usually the easiest part of the cleaning process when they’re made from ceramic or another hard material. Using traditional cleaning and polishing solutions, your tiles can be wiped and mopped using a soft cloth or fabric that removes stains and dirt from the surface. Most tiles are also sealed which deters hard stains and prevents them from seeping into the tiles themselves. Grout Cleaning Grout cleaning is the process of removing dirt and debris from the grout in between the tiles. The grout is very porous and can accumulate dirt in its crevices that can’t easily be removed using a mop or soft cloth. Instead, we provide a grout cleaning solution which is applied to the grout all over, left to loosen the debris and then scrubbed away to brighten its appearance. This process may need to be done several times if your grout has never been cleaned before or if stains are really prominent on its surface. For most stains, we can easily remove them using our industrial-grade grout cleaning solution. Brightening the grout and removing dirt can then leave it looking new and refreshed as if it was just installed. Grout Brightening Once the cleaning has been completed, if you're looking to thoroughly whiten the grout between your tiles, then we can take further measures to do so. Whitening the grout requires adding another solution of brightening mix to the grout and massaging it in so that the grout appears whiter and brighter. This can add to your tile's overall appearance, especially if the tiles themselves are of brighter color and your grout is darker or dirtier. Whitening your grout can leave your tile looking cleaner, more pristine, and newer because of its lasting effects. Polishing Once your tiles have been cleaned and your grout has been whitened, you’ll probably want your tiles to be polished to give them a nice and sleek look. Polishing tiles requires using a sealant or polish to give them the glossy and glistening topcoat that is desirable and easy to clean. This is done by adding a sealant or polish to each tile individually and allowing it to dry completely before being put back into use. Once dried, your tiles are sure to look sleek and glossy, clean and pristine, and ready for long-term use. We also offering upholstery cleaning service. |
